Blue Fish Grill on Mine Street made the initial announcement in a social media post last month stating that their last day of dine-in service would be in early September.

“We will be closing the doors only to reopen a completely new restaurant,” reads the post. “New name, new menu, new look. Same owners, same fresh and innovative flavors including cross-cultural cuisine, same casual vibe. All the things you have loved about Blue Fish Grill, only better!”

Owners Stacy and Kelly Casanova say “something new and exciting will be coming soon,” and that details on the new eatery will be shared in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Blue Fish Grill’s last day of dine-in service before starting the transition was Saturday, Sept. 2. It has since begun accepting takeout orders only while resuming regular hours. Online ordering remains available as well.

The eatery also gave a shout-out to the many dedicated staff members it has seen throughout its 16 years:

The announcement says the new venture will contain “all the things you have loved about Blue Fish Grill, only better,” but that the takeout model will continue even after the new eatery opens.

“Blue Fish Grill is NOT done and will continue on!” the post says. “It will still remain available for takeout service during the transition and even after the new restaurant launches!”
